It was Andrew’s birthday, so naturally we sang, and enjoyed a delicious lemon drizzle cake made by Ester.

We spoke of the homes we had lived in, the places where we nested, bought up our children, planted our garden, reared our geese. We spoke of our children, their births and dynamics with suddenly finding other siblings in the mix.

Above all we began seriously cutting up photographs and making pop up montages of our families to go into our boxes.
