RYCT 3 – School life

We went back to school. Under the strict batton of Miss Wright, we began with the the register, before the 7 times table.

What did we put in our satchel? Sandwiches, lunch money, 4 Woodbines (called coffin nails)

What prizes did you get – what were they? The Guinness Book of Records (how boring!). Neat handwriting prize, history prize, a book about Jesus, a bible, prize for swimming, cup for Rugby, dancing prizes.

Miss Bells took over and we sang our songs, All things Bright and Beautiful, To be a Pilmgrim and Onward Christian Soldiers.

The Headmaster Mr Cross arrived, and called out some pupils to meet him outside his office. Yikes. But first our packed lunch: sandwiches, cheese triangles, Lucazade, crisps and a fruit.

Outside we played Hopscotch with Miss Skip, and inside we played Consequences also with Miss Skip (she is very multi talented), drawing extraordinary figures. See below

Gold stars for Andrew and Richard for their book beautifully updated with historic family tree, and for Jon and Lyn – what glorious photographs they have found.
